Dorothy Gaylene Alumbaugh age 61 of China Springs Tx passed away in her home with her husband by her side December 11,2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, Texas.

Dorothy was born May 4,1962 in Lamar, Missouri to her parents, Ray Campbell and Nellie (Campbell) Hamby. Dorothy graduated from Ellinwood High School in 1981. She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. Dorothy worked at Cobalt Boats in Neodesha, KS for 22 yrs. She met her husband and love of her life, Loyde (Rob) Alumbaugh in 2000 and married July 1,2005. They moved to Whitney, Texas in 2010 where she worked for Clifton Molding in Clifton, Tx. In August 2022, Dorothy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Carcinoma, that is when they moved to China Springs Tx. She loved to spend time with her family. Dorothy loved being at the lake camping, boating and being outside in the sun. She loved her pets and she loved to cook. Dorothy raised 1 daughter to be a hard-working young lady.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ray Campbell; son, Paul Fullbright Jr.; sisters, Raylene Keith, Barbara Carstens and Linda Stevens; brothers, James Hamby and Dale Hamby.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Loyde (Rob) Alumbaugh of China Springs, Tx; mother, Nellie (Campbell) Hamby of Great Bend, Kansas; daughter, Amanda Fullbright of Ellinwood, Kansas; granddaughter, Payton Edwards of Ellinwood, Kansas; brothers, Terry Hamby of Waco, Tx and Billy Hamby of Missouri; sisters, Elaine Pyle of Missouri, Donna Crow of Ellinwood, Kansas, Hazelene Clayton of Florida, and Kathlene Cox of Missouri.
