Dorothy Jean (Kennedy) Fuchshuber

Dorothy Jean Kennedy Fuchshuber passed away Tuesday, May 12 2020 at Baylor Scott and White Hilcrest Hospital after complications of a fall at home.  She was born March 1, 1934 in Abbott Texas at her family farm.  Dorothy is survived by her husband Thomas Carl, and children: Dan and wife Kathy, Carol and husband Billy Wareham, John and Rhonda, and Brian.  Grandchildren include Daniel and wife Leah, and Stephanie and husband Matt Moore.  Great grand children Ella, Remington, and Duke Fuchshuber, Avery, Emory, Barrett and Landon Moore.

Dorothy retired from Eastern Hills Pet Hospital as clinic receptionist and office manager; previously employed by the Texas Highway Department and several family businesses.  She and Tom were living at the family farm in Abbott, previously Menlow.  They were active members at the Aquilla Baptist Church.  Those who knew Dorothy know she was always focused on family, faith and friends and in service of those she loved.  She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Jessie Kennedy, and her seven brothers and sisters.

Family visitation will be held Saturday, May 16 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 10-12:00, with graveside service to follow at the Vaughan Cemetery at 1:00 pm.  While all are welcome, during this time of the COVID-19 virus, family is aware that many friends and loved ones will elect to avoid gathering to limit contact with others.  We all hope to have a celebration of Dorothy’s life in the future when we are all once again able to gather together.  Our hearts are broken by the loss of our mom, mawmaw, and great mawmaw.  Nothing can ever take her place but memories of her will live on with all who were blessed to know her.
