Dorothy Jones

Dorothy was born September 5, 1913 in Milam, Texas to Thomas Lott and Dora Estell Chatham Blackman. In 1934 she married Bill Jones in Morgan and he preceded her in death in 1969. Also preceding her in death were two grandsons, Bobby Jones and Billy Brown. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post #522 and was of the Baptist faith. Many thanks to the nurses and aides with Hospice of The Heart. Survivors include two daughters, Clara Brown and husband, Eugene, of Devine and Nora Bigon and husband, Al, of Whitney; brothers and siters, Lorene Lemons of Veta, Oregon, Hattie Long of Moses Lake Washington, Martha Sue Gilbert of Navasota, Clarence Blackman of Waco, and M. J. Blackman of Gatesville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her devoted friend, Ruth Bird.
