Dorothy Ward Kedy 91 , of Whitney, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Officiating will be the Rev. Stanley Lohse of the Woodbury Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.

Dorothy was born on April 28, 1922, in Hill County, to the late Henry Edward and Annie Jane( Stewart ) Ward. On March 19, 1952 she married Roy Kedy, in Whitney, he preceded her in death on June 22, 1985. Dorothy was an avid dog lover, she enjoyed taking pictures, arts and crafts, and loved and enjoyed her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Dorothy worked as a waitress for the Squeeze In, and the Corner Café in Whitney.

She was a member of the Woodbury Baptist Church in Woodbury, Texas.

Preceding her in death were her parents, sister; Annie Lois Sessums, brothers; A.C. Ward, Bunk Ward, and Elden Ward.

Survivors include her sisters; Louise Crow and husband, Henry, of Woodbury Texas, Betty Lamon of Cleburne, Texas, several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
