Dorothy Bea (Williams) Lewis, 75, of Whitney, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday,December 3,2012 at noon at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Reverend Shawntay Owens officiating.Visitation will be 9:00AM-11:00AM December, 3, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Towash Cemertery.

Dorothy was born February 20, 1937 in Aquilla, Hill County, Texas, to Wyman and Beatrice (Baker) Williams. She married James Lewis. She enjoyed cooking, music, family get-togethers, and playing bingo and cards. She was a dietician at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney for 10 years. Dorothy was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Whitney.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Lewis; son Robert Earl Williams; siblings, Dinah Lee Williams, Bobbie Sue Washington, Wanda Fae Williams, Wayne Lawrence Williams, Sr., and Jimmy Lee Williams.

Survivors include her children, Jason Jermaine Williams, Denise Lashell Williams, Anthony Powell, and Mark Powell; grandchildren, Schquina Monique Williams, Denise Deon Williams, Markus Jermell Anderson; nieces and nephews, Ulanda Williams, Beverly Williams, Simona Mitchell, Louise Ratliff and husband, Lewis; Cassandra Williams and Wayne Williams, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The family has requested that memorials may be made to Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, P.O. Box 273, Whitney, Texas to assist the family with funeral expenses.
