Dorothy Mccreight

Dorothy Jean McCreight, 70, of Hillsboro died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro. Dorothy was born on May 13, 1936 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Benjamin and Marie Dowell Vanderpool. She grew up in Meade, Kansas. She married Johnny McCreight on May 13, 1954 in Billings, Montana and he preceded her in death in 1978. They moved to Hillsboro in 1955 where she was a homemaker and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Dorothy worked for Franklin Elementary School for 13 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by her children, John McCreight and wife, Cindy of Hillsboro, Jerry McCreight and wife, Christy of Arlington, Billy McCreight of Hillsboro and Linda Chilton and husband, Ben of Hillsboro; brother, Otis Vanderpool and wife, Barbara of Wichita, KS; twin sister, Dora Andersen of Yukon, OK; 9 grandchildren, Kenny, Mark, Lauren, Taryn, Jerrett and Kevin McCreight, Ryan Matt and Ashley Chilton Memorials may be made to Peoria Cemetery Assoc., PO Box 443, Hillsboro, TX 76645 or First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 635, Hillsboro, TX 76645
