Dorothy Mclean

Dorothy McLean, 92, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, June 10, 2009, in Hillsboro. Dorothy was born May 31, 1917 in Hill County, Texas, where she lived her whole life, the daughter of John and Gladys Hamilton Moore. In 1934 she graduated from Hillsboro High School. Following high school she married Bill McLean and he preceded her in death in 1970. She was a bookkeeper for J. C. Penney for a number of years before joining the staff at Hillsboro State Bank where she worked for 20 years until her retirement in 1985. For many years she volunteered as an election worker. She was a long-time member of West Side Church of Christ in Hillsboro where she was very active. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jack Moore; and sister, Gene Stephenson. Survivors include two brothers, Bill Moore of Arlington and Bobby Moore and wife, Charlotte, of Midlothian; two sisters, Helen Estes of Fort Worth and Marilyn Cowan of Wichita Falls; and numerous nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
