Dorothy Neel

Dorothy Mae Neel, 78, of Whitney passed away on May 1, 2007 at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney. Dorothy was born on Sept. 15, 1928 in Valley Mills, TX to Clinton M. and Sarah Lou Gilcrest Reeves. She married Oscar Neel, Jr. in Hobbs, New Mexico on Oct. 21, 1946. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Whitney. Preceding her in death were her parents and 5 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband, Oscar of Whitney; daughter, Linda Finley of Hillsboro; son, Bill Neel of Whitney; sister, Laura Taylor of Temple and grandchildren, Willie Finley, Melani Osborn, Tracee Henderson and Jeff Neel.
