Dorothye Bishop

Dorothye L. Bishop, 81, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, January 31, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Dorothye was born April 18, 1923 in Monticello, Arkansas the daughter of James Monroe and Anna Lee Moore Mitchell. From 1963-1986 she owned House of Flowers in Hillsboro and worked as a florist until 1999. On May 15, 1955 she married Roy W. Bishop, Jr. in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on May 17, 2003. She attended First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro and was a member of the Hillsboro Garden Club. Survivors include her son, Ronald Bishop and wife, Patsy, of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law, Dot Mitchell of Hinesville, Georgia and Pauline Mitchell of Wichita Falls; two nieces; and two nephews.
