Doug Lewis

Douglas W. “Doug” Lewis, 92, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2019 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel with Brother Leonard Lewis and Reverend Darrell Beggs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Doug was born August 21, 1927 in the Woodbury community of Hill County, Texas, the son of Fletcher L. And Annie Lou (Daily) Lewis. He married Letha Faye Curbo on August 14, 1949 and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2018. Doug worked for Basham Service Station and in 1962  went into the television sales and service business for himself, retiring in 1990. He and Letha Faye loved traveling, hunting and working in the yard. Doug was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

He is also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Auldin Lewis, Leonard Lewis, Elgin (B-Boy) Lewis and sisters, Jewel Lewis and Aleta McConathy.

Doug is survived by his nieces and nephews.
