Durwood Walker, 73, of Fort Worth passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Emery J. Lilge Community Hospice House in Fort Worth. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Durwood was born August 14, 1941 in Corsicana to James D. And Lenora M. (Ivie) Walker. He worked as a machinist at Texas Steel Company, Miller Brewery, and retired from Green Bay Packaging Company in 2005. Durwood enjoyed fishing, hunting, and restoring old antique cars. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Danny Walker.
Survivors include his children, Lynn Norman and spouse, Jody, of Fort Worth and Keith Walker and spouse, Leanne, of Farmers Branch; brother, James “Tinsey” Walker; and brother-in-law and best friend, Ben Little of Fort Worth.
