E. L. Pelham

E. L. Pelham, 83, of Whitney passed away on Nov.1, 2007 in Whitney. He was the son of William Ed and Wilma Newsome Pelham. He lived in Hill County most of his life and in Fort Worth for 15 years. He first married Adell Cappers on April 10, 1943 and she preceded him in death on March 10, 1988. He later married Velma Waits on May 13, 1989. He served his country during World II in the United States Army. Also preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Dorothy Raulston, Marie Sanders, Mozell Yates, Hazel Pelham, Barbara Pelham, Floy Law and brother, James Woodrow Pelham. Survivors include his wife, Velma; daughters, Catherine Duffy of Alvarado, Rita Ball and husband, Doug of Waco; sons, Harrail Pelham of Whitney, Darrail Pelham and wife, Linda of Cleburne, Richard Pelham and wife Joanna of Whitney; sisters, Laverne McKeehan of Whitney, Jo Wilson and husband, Harrell of Whitney, Lilly Bell Beck and husband, James of Fort Worth; brother, Tommy Lewis Pelham and wife, Vivian of Whitney;15 grandkids, 20 great grandkids; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends Memorials: Heath Cemetery Assoc., 5459 FM 933 North, Whitney, TX 76692
