Earl Kenneth Murrell

Earl Kenneth Murrell, age, 93 of Hillsboro passed away Friday, May 26, 2023, at Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Clay Strawn officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 pm. A burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.

Earl was born February 25, 1930, in Fort Worth, Texas to Earl and Edith Jewel Crosby (Rich) Murrell. He grew up in the Hill County area and he was united in marriage to Dorothy Ruth (Dool) Bull, she preceded him in death on January 5, 2016. Earl loved to watch and read westerns, doing yard work, and when he was able to, he loved to travel. He enjoyed mechanic work and was an Airplane Mechanic in the Army Airforce Corps and served in WWII. Earl was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Brenda Burns; brother, Bobby Joe Murrell; and sister, Juanita Murrell.

Earl is survived by his children, Kenneth Murrell and Beverly Murrell; stepsons, Clarance Bull and Kenneth Bull; brother, Wayne Murrell; sister, Brenda Murrell; 9 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Memorial may be made to the First United Pentecostal Church 915 Park Drive Hillsboro, Texas 76645.
