Ed Chesley Boswell, 96, of Whitney passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, in Cleburne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Janaury 18, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. Interment will follow at Whitney Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the fuenral home.
Ed (Bully) Boswell was born in Whitney on March 3, 1914 the son of George and Clara Boswell. He was married to Stella Irene Worley for 64 years. He was a christian and attended Towash and Missionary Baptist Chruches.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Peggy Tucker; sisters, Imogene Bonds, Georgia (Tince) Brown, Florence (Cat) Reed, Francis "Hoot" Halford; and brothers, Clark, Harland (Cutter), and Larry (Pistol); and a son-in-law, Melvin Jaggars.
He is survived by his daugther, Jean Jaggars of Cleburne; son-in-law, Charles Tucker of Cleburne; brother, Joe Boswell of Whitney; sister, Dell Bonds of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Kathy Tucker Cochran and husband, Hillard, Connie Tucker Atwood and husband, Danny, Michael Tucker and wife, Lisa, all of Cleburne, Larry Jaggars of Las Vegas, Monty Jaggars and wife, Melinda, of Rio Vista, and Curtis Jaggars and wife, Patti, of Dallas; fourteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hillard Cochran, Danny Atwood, and grandsons, Larry Jaggars, Monty Jaggars, Curtis Jaggars, and Michael Tucker; great-grandson, Travis Jaggars; and a nephew, Ott Boswell.
