Edward Claude Kennedy, 90, of Blum passed away at a Glen Rose nursing home on June 15, 2005. He was the son of Holley Claude and Clara Elizabeth Coody Kennedy. He was rasied in Wise County and moved to Hill County in 1946. During World War II he served his country in the United States Air Force as a Sargent. On January 10, 1943, Ed married Dorothy Elizabeth Hamilton in Amarillo, Texas. From 1946 until 1963, Ed was a public school teacher, coached baseball and basketball and was an elementary school principle at Blum Independent School District. He owned and operated a dairy business from 1964 until 1980. Ed was a member of Blum Church ofChrist and the Blum Masonic Lodge #607 AF&AM. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Blum; children, Paul Kennedy and wife, Gayle of Humble, John Kennedy and wife, Carolyn of Blum, Jane Brown and husband, Lewis of Blum; eight granchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
