Edith Olson

Edith Ruth Olson, 54, of Milford passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. The family will hold memorial services at a later date. Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro are in charge of arrangements.

Edith was born September 8, 1959 in McKinney to Murphy Dale and Ruby Jay (Johnson) Phillips. On July 24, 1984, she married Calvin Olson and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2011. She enjoyed playing spades, reading, watching movies, playing games with kids, and spending time with family and friends. She was of the Baptist faith.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother-in-law, Bradley Woolf; sister-in-law, Debora Phillips; and a niece, Della Jean.

Survivors include her daughter, Donnetta Faith Firster; brother, Mitchell Dale Phillips of Milford; three sisters, Lois Ann Woolf of Waxahachie, Sandra Elaine Harris of Hillsboro, and Barbara Jean Sherrin and husband, Larry Gene, of Milford; two grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Firster; mother-in-law, Donna Rice of Milford; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
