Edna MoMo Hammond passed away September 25, 2010 at her residence. She was the daughter of Varwdy Bertram Graham and Ethel Ruby Rice Hammond. On June 16, 1952, she married James D. Hammond in Dallas, TX. She was a homemaker, loved her children and always opened her door to anyone as she never met a stranger. She was a faithful and active member at Fort Graham Baptist where she taught Sunday School and VBS for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James D.. Hammond on February 1, 1996; two sons, Curtis Hammond and Steve Hammond; two grandsons, Christopher Hammond and Justin Hammond; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Peeples; two brothers, Gilbert Graham and Bernice Graham; one sister, Marie Hofford. Survivors include her children, Billy Wayne Hammond, Sr. of Whitney; Brenda Boehl and husband, Michael of Conroe, TX; Kathy Burgess and husband, Roy of Douglas, GA; Gary Hammond and wife, Ruth Ann of Joshua, TX; daughter-in-law, Patricia Newsom and husband, Tommy of Joshua, TX;brother, Eddie Graham and wife, Madelinne of Humble, TX;sisters, Ruby Patterson of Willis, TX; Ana Bell Olds and husband, Daniel of Porter; 36 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren.
