Edward Maynard

Edward Maynard, 75, of Whitney died February 2, 2008 in Waco. Edward was born Aug. 31, 1932 in Ohio, where he grew up, the son of John B. and Mary B. McAfee Maynard. On January 7, 1956 he married Dorothy Mount and they moved to Texas in April of 1967. Dorothy preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1998. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Tyler refrigeration for 17 years. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Whitney. Also preceding him in death were his parents, brother Sherman Maynard, and a great-granddaughter, Casey Nicole Wilson. Survivors include his children, Mike & Dina Maynard, Yvonne Wilson, Billy & Rhonda Maynard, Michelle & Ron Miller, Becky & Kevin Sears, Matt & Keira Maynard, and Russell & Michele Maynard; two brothers, Johnny Maynard and Rudy Maynard; a sister, Nancy Holiway; sixteen grandchildren, Lori, Jeff, Jeremy, Crystal, Adam, Melissa, Zack, Joshua, Ashley, Evan, Heather, Morgan, Sydney, Chris, Jonathan, Austin; three great-grandchildren, Donovan, Kristian, Isaiah; and special cousins, Kenny & Joyce McGrew.
