Edwin Kaddatz, 92 of Hillsboro died Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Hill Regional Hospital. Edwin was born January 8, 1914 in Malone the son of Wilhelm J. and Marie Schulz Kaddatz. Edwin was baptized February 1, 1914 and his sponsors were Emil Schulz, Louis Degner, and Lesetta Kaddatz. He was confirmed April 29, 1928 and his confirmation verse was Psalm 145 verses 18 & 19. On December 8, 1936 he married Martha Degner in Malone and she preceded him in death on December 25, 1994. Edwin loved his family and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed being a resident of Town Hall Estates Nursing Home. He was a farmer and member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Willie Kaddatz, in 1979. Survivors include his sons, Leonard Kaddatz and wife, Emma Lee, Eugene Kaddatz and wife, Beverly, and Don Kaddatz and wife, Sue, all of Hillsboro; brother, Richard Kaddatz and wife, Viola, of San Antonio; sisters, Frances Maass of Hillsboro and Alice Schronk and husband, Vernon, of Burleson; six grandchildren, Dennis Kaddatz and wife, Lyn, Shelia Bowman and husband, Mark, Kim Leech and husband, Kent, and John Kaddatz all of Hillsboro, Deborah LeRoy and husband, John, of Plano, and Kim Ledlow and husband, Dallas, of Cary, NC; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Spencer Kaddatz, Tyler Bowman, and Hadley and Emery Leech all of Hillsboro, Phillip and Ethan Bowman both of College Station, Andrew and Victoria LeRoy both of Plano; and Courtney, Blake, and Caroline Ledlow of Cary, NC. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Hwy., Hillsboro, TX 76645.
