Edwin Landon

Edwin Lee Landon, 78, of Whitney, passed away on August 2, 2015 at a Waco hospital. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Edwin was born on August 13, 1936, in Ft. Worth, to Clarence and Artie (Moser) Landon. He grew up in the metroplex and joined the U.S. Navy after high school. On June 15, 1979, he married Carole Morris. He worked as a service technician at apartments and laundry rooms. His favorite pastime was woodworking which included building furniture and arts and crafts. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack and Jimmy Landon.

Survivors include his wife, Carole Landon; children, Donna Clark and husband, Dan, Sharmon Strickland and husband, Larry, Jeff Landon and wife, Carlissa, Troy Marbut and wife, Melissa and Markle Landon and wife, Joanna; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Mungle.
