Edwin Tarver

Edwin M Tarver passed away on March 8, 2010 in Hillsboro. Edwin was born on August 12, 1917 in Whitney, the son of the late Thomas Luther and Mary NeelyYates Tarver. His family moved to Abernathy, Texas when he was very young. After serving his country in the United States Army during World War II, he moved back to Abernathy. He moved to Whitney in the 1970's where he spent the rest of his life. Edwin had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney. Also preceding him in death were brother, John Tarver and four sisters, Lauris Halford, Sookie Ellis, Oletha Meader and Ruth Ingram. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
