Effie Wilson

Effie Evelyn Adams Wilson, 94, of Hillsboro died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Effie was born May 6, 1912 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of John W. and Maude Fryer Adams. She lived in Hill County all of her life. In 1952 she married Jim Vaughan, II and he preceded her in death in 1964. She later married Joe Wilson on April 7, 1972 and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2000. For 25 years she worked at the Cotton Oil Mill and she also worked at Shells for 25 years. Effie was an accomplished artist, a talented pianist, and she loved to travel. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro and a charter member of the Business Womens Club. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Katherine Schultz; and three brothers, Barnes Adams, Ben Adams, and Byron Adams. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Lucy Ann, Sandy, Diane, William Barnes, and Byron, Jr.; and good friend and companion, Patricia Erwin.
