Elgin Leon “B-Boy” Lewis, 82, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Hill Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Bro. Leonard Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, prior to the service.

Elgin was born in Woodbury, Hill County, Texas on May 24, 1930 to Fletcher and Annie (Daily) Lewis. He attended Woodbury public school and lived in the Woodbury community until 1960, when he moved to Hillsboro. Listening to country and western music and watching blue grass music on TV were two of his favorite pastimes. Elgin had been a resident of Town Hall Estates Nursing Home since 2008 and regularly attended the weekly worship service held there by First Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Leonard Lewis of Woodbury and Aldin Lewis of Hillsboro; and two sisters, Aleta McConathy of Whitney and Jewel Lewis of Hillsboro. Survivors include a brother, Douglas Lewis and wife, Faye, of Hillsboro; two nieces, Nelda Tidwell of Hillsboro and Ladonna King of Whitney; and one nephew, Leonard Donald Lewis of Alvarado.
