Elisha (Buddy) Daniel Akridge Jr.

Elisha Daniel Akridge Jr., age 64, passed away on March 4, 2024 at his home in Whitney, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Elisha (Buddy) Daniel Akridge Jr. was born on February 13, 1960 to his parents Elisha Daniel Akridge Sr. and Audrey Ann Akridge in Batton Rouge, Louisiana. Elisha was a trucker driver for 30 years before retiring in 2014. He loved fishing, barbequing, camping, and spending time with the love of his life Janet Akridge. Elisha was known as the worlds greatest pawpaw, his grandchildren were his pride and joy, an amazing friend, loving father, and a man that walked a very straight line. Elisha was loved and will be missed by so many.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life Janet Akridge; his parents, Elisha Daniel Akridge Sr. and Audrey Ann Akridge; father in-law, John Albert Taylor; mother in-law, Marian Elizabeth Fisher and husband Luther Tony Fisher; sister, Patricia Ann Dies; and brother, James Benjamin Akridge.

Elisha is survived by his children, David Akridge and wife Randi, Victoria Ecklund and husband Steven, Anthony Taylor and wife Jaquina, Ronnie Brown the 3rd; siblings, George Anthony Akridge and wife Sonya, and Michele Lynette Akridge; grandchildren, Daniel Akridge, Roger Akridge, Eric Ecklund, Turryanna Hankins, Brandi Brewton, Garrett Brown, Kagen Brown, Allana Brown,and Ronnie Brown The 4th; and several great-grandchildren.
