Ella K. Boehm, 91, of Whitney passed away on April 24, 2007 in Whitney. She was born on April 27, 1915 in Riesel to Oliver and Meta Kuehl Courtade. Ella traveled from Pawanee, Oklahoma to Riesel, Texas in a covered wagon when she was about nine years old. She spent 30 years of her life on a farm in Riesel. She then went to Houston to work with her brother and two sisters in a landscape and design business. After her retirement in 1984 she moved back to Riesel to be close to her family. In 1989, she moved to Whitney to be close to her family and grand kids that she loved very much. Ella also loved flowers, birds and gardening. She was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Karl Gustov Boehm; son, George William Boehm; sister, Pearl Craig and brother Edward Courtade. Survivors include her son, Allen Boehm and wife, Pam of Whitney; sister, Lee Courtade of Waco; grandsons, Tim Boehm and wife, Brenda of Riesel, Shane Baker and wife, Scarlette of Whitney, Aaron Baker of Whitney; 2 great grandchildren: Allie Elizabeth Baker and Cade Daniel Baker of Whitney Memorials: King Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 612, Whitney, TX 76692 Hill College, 112 Lamar Dr., Hillsboro, TX 76645
