Ellis Bailey

Ellis Bailey, 82, of Whitney passed away on Jan. 10, 2008 in Whitney. He was born on Dec. 6, 1925 in Aquilla to George E. and Beatrice Vaughan Bailey. On March 5, 1948, he married Elizabeth Ann Bourland and she preceded him in death on April 23, 2002. Ellis was an avid bowler and played in several leagues. He also loved to play dominos and go to cattle auctions. He was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines and retired in 1989. He was a member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death were his parents; 4 brothers, James, Emmett, Eugene and Joe Bailey and sister, Ezlee Williams. Survivors include his son, Lynn and wife, Diane Bailey of Houston; brothers, George Bailey, Jr. of Aquilla and Sidney Wayne Bailey of Whitney; granddaughter, Courtney Bailey of Houston Memorials: Prairie Valley Baptist Church, PO Box 1668, Whitney, TX 76692
