Elsie Hill

Elsie Mae Hill, 82, of Blum, passed away on December 10, 2017, in Dallas. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Whitney Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elsie was born on July 6, 1935, in Blum, to John and Mammie (Upchurch) Holt and grew up in Blum, graduating from Blum High School. On January 13, 1953, she married Glen Hill and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2016. A resident of Blum before moving to Duncanville in 1961, she returned to Blum in 1994. Having a clean house with everything in order was her favorite pastime. She also enjoyed being with her grandchildren when they were small and then spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; twenty brothers and sisters; and great-grandson, Corbin Wayne Campbell.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Campbell and husband, Dan, of Cleburne and Diane Elrod and husband, Jerry, of Combine; grandchildren, Daniel Glen Campbell and wife, Jennifer and Steven Scott Campbell and wife, Trina; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Campbell, Kailey Campbell, Clayton Campbell, and Kassidy Campbell.
