Emily Mcmullen

Emily B. McMullen, 58, of Blooming Grove passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Amy Anderson of Line Street United Methodist Church officiating.

Born February 27, 1958 in Houston, Emily was the daughter of Jack Dudley and Dorothy Mae (Hamilton) Beavers. After graduating from Tomball High School in 1976, she went on to receive her Masters degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech in 1982. From there, Emily built a successful career as an IT programmer at AT&T and later AAFES.

On April 10, 1994, Emily was united in marriage with Bert McMullen and resided in Carrollton. For the last eight years, the couple has lived in Blooming Grove.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jack and Dorothy Beavers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 22 years, Bert McMullen; two children, Sean McMullen and wife, Amber, and Jen McMullen, both of Austin; two grandchildren, Katie and Maddie; and all her four legged family.

In lieu of flowers, Emily requested that donations be made to Hill County Paw Pals, P. O. Box 1533, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
