Esta Bailey

Esta Louise Bailey, 87, of Forney, passed away on December 16, 2018, in Dallas. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 11:00 until noon prior to the service at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Louise was born on January 15, 1931, in Wichita Falls, to John and Van (Turner) Watson. On July 17, 1948, she married Delbert Bailey and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2013.

Her favorite time of year was Christmas and she dearly loved it. A founding member of Steiner Baptist Church, she served as their secretary for many years. She and Delbert were instrumental in securing the historical marker for the church and the fellowship hall is named in their honor.

Preceding her in death were her parents, nine brothers and sisters, and a daughter, Peggy Shuping.

Survivors include her son, Jesse Bailey and his wife, Victoria and daughter, Patricia “Pat” Wilson and husband, Jerry; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
