Esther Isabell Hardaway, 90, of Whitney, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 21 at Whitney Memorial Park with Mr. Roger Stewart of Covington Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Esther was born on September 14, 1921 in Weaches, Texas, to George and Lizzie(Ingram) Moseley. She married Archie Thomas Hardaway on June, 24, 1939, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 1971. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Elouise Cooper and Kathy Anderson; one son, L.C. Hardaway; two brothers, Octer Moseley and Clifford Moseley; and two sisters Dorothy Roberts and Lillian Kellett.

Esther was a homemaker. She loved sewing, taking care of kids, and working outside, especially in the garden. She was a member of Whitney Church of Christ.

Survivors include three children, Don Hardaway; Barbara Stevens and husband David; and Gary Hardaway and wife Nancy, all of Whitney; one brother, Eldon Moseley of Waxahachie; twenty grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
