Ethelene Gainer

Ethelene Gainer, 85, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at her residence. Ethelene was born May 27, 1921 in Ackerman, Mississippi the daughter of Arasmus Pinkney and MaryLou Ethel Black Stephens. On April 11, 1942 she married Charles Henry Gainer and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1973. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, John Richard Gainer, Sr.; and three siblings, Cecil Stephens, Floy Nichols, and Audry Gammil. Survivors include two children, Barbara ?Bobbie? Grounds and husband, Ralph, of Hillsboro and Charles Hubert Gainer of Van Cleave, Mississippi; a brother, Hubert E. Stephens and wife, Mildred, of Starkville, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Karen Bartosh and husband, Larry, of Abbott, Greg Gainer of Alabama, Sheryl Tyler and husband, Scott, of Loveview, Robyn Ainsworth of Van Cleave, Mississippi, John Richard Gainer, Jr. of Mississippi, and Christopher Gainer of Hillsboro; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild and another on the way.
