Eual Rape

Eual Gene Rape, 81, of Hillsboro, and formerly of Fort Worth, died Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Eual was born February 22, 1927 in Whitney, Texas the son of Augustus S. and Verna Rushing Rape. In 1944 he graduated from Hillsboro High School. For five years he served in the Merchant Marines. He was drafted into the U. S. Army and served in the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. In 1953 he married Frances Dennis. He was an active member of the VFW. He was a hard worker, loved his family, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three children, Randy Rape of Creswell, OR and Debra Tennis and Kimberly Sabin both of Cottage Grove, OR; two brothers, Jim Rape of Waco and Bobby Rape of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
