Eunice Baker

Eunice Odom Baker, 102, of Whitney, died Sunday September 26, 2010 at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney. Eunice was born October 4, 1907 in Aquilla, Texas, the daughter of Lem and Sarah Matthews Odom. She was a longtime resident of Whitney and served as a teacher in Lebanon, Aquilla, and Whitney for over 40 years. On October 26, 1934 she married Orval E. Baker and he preceded her in her in death on October 3, 1985. She was a longtime member of King Memorial United Methodist Church. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends and former students. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home for their loving care and concern.
