Eunice Cappers, 99, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Eunice was born August 24, 1906 in the Blanton Community of Hill County, Texas the daughter of John William and Willie Elizabeth Essary Shaw. Except for nine years in Tarrant County, she lived in Hillsboro most of her life. On February 5, 1925 she married Clarence Leonard Cappers and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1975. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro and was a housewife. Also preceding her in death were her parents; seven children, Hazel ChristineWilson, Adell Pelham, Ray Cappers, Ruth McCollum, Leon Cappers, Betty Jean Fox, and Wendell Cappers; five brothers, Homer, Denzel, Bruce, Herman, and Wesley Shaw; and one sister, Hollis Erwin. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frances Waits of Hillsboro; two sisters, Lizza Mae Erwin of Fort Worth and Irene Hill of Aquilla; 38 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
