Eva Black


Eva was born January 11, 1917 in Mount Calm, Texas to James Rufus and Dora Rice Windham. During World War II she served in the U. S. Navy. On May 27, 1926 she married Leslie Black in Youngstown, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 23, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters: Lena Mae Van Cleave, Ruth Drake, Pearl Kirk, Evelyn Beasley, Sandford Windham, George Windham, and James ?Buck? Windham. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McKinney and formerly a member of Brandon Baptist Church. Survivors include her children; Helen Naji and husband, Omar G. Naji of Wylie, and Ellen Blakeley of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Nadia Lerline Naji, Rebecca Olen Blakeley, Nicole Cheri Black and Gamil Omar Naji.
