Evelyn Anderson

Evelyn Daisy Anderson, 87, of Abbott died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in Abbott. Evelyn was born January 14, 1922 in McLennan County the daughter of John and Leona Knox Boyse. She had lived in Hill County all of her life. On December 9, 1941 she married Rudolph Anderson and they were married for 62 years before his death on March 9, 2002. For over 37 years she lived in Abbott. She relished her role as the family babysitter. An excellent cook, Evelyn took pleasure in providing meals for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Abbott Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death were her parents and four brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Rheda Jo Jones and Tim Jones of Abbott and Lana Gale Anderson Fullerton and husband, Edward, of Hillsboro; sister, Mary Summerhill and husband, Weldon, of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Alice Boyse of Mesquite; two grandchildren, Jody Sean Johnson of Abbott and Amy Jo Roessler and husband, David, of West; two step-grandchildren, Chris Fullerton of Ft. Knox, KY and James Fullerton and wife, Ashley, of Hubbard; two great-grandchildren, Kailey and Amanda Roessler; one step-great-grandchild, Brooklyn Paige Fullerton; and many nieces and nephews.
