Evelyn Hodge

Evelyn Hodge, 63, of Hillsboro died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Evelyn was born February 26, 1946 in Nashville, TN the daughter of Paul and Margaret Pollock Ballanfant. On December 26, 1962 she married Lee Hodge in Nashville, TN. Shortly after their marriage, the couple came to Texas spending time in the DFW metroplex and Houston areas, before settling in Woodbury in 2002. Evelyn was very family oriented, taking part in her children and grandchildren?s activities. She also loved raising her flowers and plants and collecting antiques. For a time, the couple operated a resale shop. She never met a stranger and loved to make new friends. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, and one sister. Survivors include her husband, Lee Hodge of Woodbury; three children, Sheila Knott and husband, Steve, of Seguin, John Hodge and wife, Karen, of Midlothian, and Sandra Marion and husband, Kelly, of Maypearl; a sister, Geraldine Carney of Fairview, TN; and ten grandchildren, Wes Justus of New Braunfels; Stephanie and Tiffany Knott of Seguin; Blake, Amanda, and Kelsey Hodge of Midlothian; and Toby, Darby, Mikayla, and Brody Marion of Maypearl.
