Ezekial Zane & Cooper M. J. Southard

Ezekial Zane Southard, 18, and Copper M. J. Southard, 26, both of Whitney, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Peoria, along with their grandmother, Janet Ann Bridges.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020, on the Whitney High School football field with Scott Pelham officiating.  Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park.

Ezekial was born August 2, 2002, in Hillsboro to Andrew Dylan and Sheila Dawn (Kirkland) Southard.  He grew up in Whitney and was currently a senior at Whitney High School.  He was set to graduate with the class of 2021.  Ezekial loved tinkering and fixing things and taking things apart.  He had every type of tool you could imagine.  A huge history buff, his main interest were learning all he could about World War II and Pearl Harbor Day.  He also enjoyed watching James Bond movies, the TV show M*A*S*H, listening to Christmas music, and running his R. C. Army Tank.

Cooper was born October 10, 1994, in Cleburne to Andrew Dylan and Sheila Dawn (Kirkland) Southard.  He grew up in Whitney and was a 2014 graduate of Whitney High School, where he served as manager for all the sports teams.  He later attended Hill College and UTA.  Cooper was a cigar connoisseur and collector of antique razors.  An excellent cook, he enjoyed going grocery shopping at Kroger for his ingredients.  Cooper never met a stranger and had an old soul.  He had a very special relationship with his grandmother as her caretaker.

They were both members of King Memorial United Methodist Church in Whitney.

Preceding them in death were their brother, Jackson Lee Southard.

Survivors include their parents, Andy and Sheila Southard; grandmother, Judy Banks; grandfathers, Jeff Kirkland and Glenn Southard; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many, many friends.
