Faye Cain, 82, of Hillsboro passed away Friday morning June 22, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro with Mr. Ted Cherry and Mr. Glenn Standly officiating. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born June 2, 1936, in Post, she was the daughter of James Noel and Mary Irlene (Poole) Williams. She grew up in Post before moving to Hillsboro and graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1955. In 1958, Faye was united in marriage to Raymond Cain. They lived the military life while Raymond served his country in the United States Air Force. Faye worked at Grant Buie Hospital in Hillsboro and later at Baylor Hospital in Waxahachie, where she retired in 2005 and was loving known as “3 South Faye.” She loved her family unconditionally and was known to many extras as “Grandma.” She was also an excellent cook. A faithful Christian, Faye was a very active member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro.
Preceding her in death were her parents; infant son, Ronald Jay Cain; son, Billy Ray Cain; infant granddaughter, Katy Faye Vieregge; three sisters, Jerrie English, Billie Crumpton, and Tancie Parton; brother, Leroy Bishop; and an infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Cain; daughter, Valerie Vieregge and husband, Billy; 12 grandchildren, Brandi Timbes and husband, Brian, Bryan Suter and wife, Tonya, Kristi Covey and fiancé, Aaron Fullerton, Karson Vieregge, Robert Vieregge, Raymi Vieregge, Billy Cain, Jr. and wife, Amber, Justin Vieregge and wife, Chelsea, Jalee Crofford, Nicole Irvin and husband, Joseph, Jessica Handy, and Jacque Balderas; 14 great-grandchildren, Landen and Kazli Timbes, Serenity and Christian Suter, Brynn and Addilyn Covey, Bo and Lorelai Cain & James, Braedon, Caydence, and Preston Irvin, and Trenton and Eli Vieregge; numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives; and a host of friends.
