Faye Day


Faye was born November 17, 1914 in Ballinger, Texas to George Wesley and Mary Letha Pearson Hinkel. In 1948 she married Barney Day in Cleburner, Texas. Fishing, camping, going to church, playing cards and music were her favorite hobbies. She lived for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; one son, Sam Youngblood; and eight siblings. She was of the Assembly of God faith. Survivors include six children, James Day and wife, Paula, of Hillsboro, Don Youngblood and wife, Debbie, of Benbrook, Wes Youngblood and wife, Sharon, of Whitney, Barney Day and wife, Margie, of Hillsboro, Gene Youngblood of New Mexico, and Sylvia Dickerson and husband, Mike, of Whitney; a sister, Mae Combs of Arlington; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
