Faye Padgett Dumas, 86, of Burleson passed away on January 14, 2005 in Fort Worth. The daughter of Arthur Garfield and Annie Elmina Taylor Padgett, Faye attended the Arnotville school through the 8th grade and graduated from Hillsboro High School. A resident of Hill County most of her life, she married Curtis O. Dumas on Nov. 14, 1937. He preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1997. For 11 years she worked as an LVN with Dr. Norman West, and was also with Grand-Buie Hospital for 3 years. An active member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, she served as Sunday School director for the 8 year-old Primary Department for 24 years, and as assistant director of the Adult Department for more than 20 years. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Doyle Dumas, on August 10, 2002; a granddaughter, Rhonda Looper; and 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 3 children; Glen Dumas and wife, Patricia, of Hllsboro, Janice Looper and husband, Jackie, of Benbrook, Ralph Dumas and wife, Jeanene, of Grand Prairie; 4 grandchildren; Jason Dumas of Vidalia, Georgia, Ron Looper of Fort Worth, Justin Dumas of Arlington, Blake Dumas of Garland; 3 step-grandhildren; Randy Looper, Rusty Looper, Roby Looper; 1 foster granddaughter, Kim Lambert; and 5 step-great grandchldren.
