Florence Waldrum, 78 of Hillsboro passed away on February 17, 2011 in Hillsboro.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Ricardo Aguilar officiating. Visitation will follow after the service.
Interment at Ortona Cemetery in LaBelle, Florida is pending at this time.
Florence was born on September 8, 1932 in Fort Myers, Florida. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Rebecca (Lee) Dupree. She graduated from high school in Moore Haven, Florida. She moved to San Antonio as a young woman. It was there she met her future husband, Stan Waldrum who she later married in California. The couple lived in Southern California for twelve years.
She later lived in Baltimore, Maryland and Lampasas, Texas before moving to Hillsboro approximately ten years ago. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in her vegetable garden. Florence was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters, Tommie Dupree, Loreita Anderson and husband Jerry, Loisel Green and husband Virgil and Lucille Laurence.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Aguilar and husband John of Odenton, Maryland; brother, Robert Dupree of Florida; sisters, Frances Harris and Barbara Dupree both of Hillsboro; granddaughter, Isabella Aguilar of Odenton, Maryland and former husband, Stan Waldrum of Long Beach, California.
