Florene (Harris) Weir

Florene (Harris) Weir, 82, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Hillsboro. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Florene was born February 25, 1941, in Italy, Texas, to J.D. and Lillie (Earles) Harris. She worked in the kitchen at Canterbury Villa Nursing Home for fourteen years until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed flashy cars, especially her corvette. An avid animal lover, Florene enjoyed dancing and making people laugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Terry Weir; sister, Sue Foster; and brother, J.D. Harris, Jr. Survivors include nephews, Roy Mabry and wife, Mary, Jim Mabry and wife Connie, and John Mabry; and special friend, Michelle Morgan.
