Floy Watson

Floy Ruth Watson, 101, of Whitney, passed away on November 2, 2015, in Whitney, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 6, 2015, at Whitney Memorial Park with Mr. Bruce Martin of Whitney Church of Christ, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon prior to the service on Friday.

Floy was born on December 3, 1913, in Whitney, to John T. And Lena (Wylie) Hill. Although she grew up in Whitney, she also lived in Lubbock, Temple, Brownwood, Bangs and Fort Worth before returning in 1960. On October 5, 1935, she married Raymond Watson and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1993. She was a housewife and a member of Whitney Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were four brothers, three sisters and an infant daughter

She is survived by children, Kelly Watson of Whitney, Mike Watson and wife, Sharon of Brownwood, Ronnie Watson of Brownwood and Nancy Watson of Savannah, Georgia; sisters Harmana Cook of Waco and Barbara Marsh of Katy; grandchildren, Lisa Powers, Dana Boyle, Lori Puckett, Hope Smith, Jeremy Watson, Jared Watson, Tracy Norris, Kim Watson, Torry McClain, Robbyn Shaw, Ray Cox and John Cox; and 19 great-grandchildren.
