Frances Craig, 90, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Melissa Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon-1:00 p.m. prior to service time.

Born December 20, 1928, in Hill County, she was the daughter of Jim and Stella (Watson) Johnson. On June 12, 1948, Frances was united in marriage to Maurice Craig and they made their home in Hillsboro. For many years, she was employed by Malouf Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and supervisor. In 1991, Frances retired from Rose Marie’s, Inc. She was a 50 plus year member of Line Street United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband of 58 years, Maurice on January 1, 2007; five brothers, Hugh Johnson, Maurice Johnson, R. A. Johnson, Jackie Johnson, and Fred Johnson; and four sisters, Jewell McNeely, Ruth Johnson, Lucille Chapman, and Verna Lawhon.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
