Frances Jackson Davis, 96, of Hillsboro died Monday, April 16, 2007, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Frances was born August 20, 1910 in Hillsboro, Texas, where she lived all of her life, the daughter of Whit and Stella Godfrey Robertson. She first married Burris C. Jackson and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1967. She later married William P. ?Bill? Davis and he preceded her in death on Jan. 7. 1992. Frances was an accomplished pianist and played for many civic groups including the Hillsboro Lions Club, where she was club sweetheart for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro, Hillsboro Country Club, Hill College Century Club, numerous bridge clubs, and lifetime member of Monday Review. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brother, W. C. Robertson, Jr.; and sister, Xie Harvey. Survivors include a niece, Denise Tuggle and husband, John, of Hillsboro; nephew, Whit Harvey and wife, Lela, of Las Cruces, NM; two great nieces, Brooke Tuggle and husband, Mark Pomeroy, of Portland, OR and Emmy Harvey of Las Cruces, NM; great-great nephew, Nate Pomeroy of Portland, OR; brother-in-law, Randolph Jackson and wife, Virginia, of Granbury; and also a number of nieces and nephews in the Jackson family; step-son, Wallis Davis and wife, Olga, of San Antonio; two step-grandchildren, Harvey and Jon Davis; three step-great grandchildren; and many cousins.
