Frances Denton

Frances Denton, 92, of Hillsboro died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Frances was born April 13, 1916 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of Elvie and Tursey Finley Brooks. She lived in Hill County most of her life. On August 26, 1934 she married Milton Denton and he preceded her in death on November 29, 1986. In 1958 they moved to Fort Worth and she worked for Stripling Department Store for 20 years. They later moved back to Woodbury in 1978. She was a member of Woodbury Baptist Church in Woodbury. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Wendell Brooks Denton on August 29, 1992; three sisters, Troy Barrett, Juanita Dumas, and Corinne McCreight; one brother, John Wimpy Brooks; and a granddaughter-in-law, Ann Bearden Farquhar. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Farquhar and husband, George, of Woodbury; five grandchildren, Mike Farquhar and wife, Linda, of Hillsboro, Scott Farquhar and wife, Susan, of Cleburne, Steve Denton of Grandview, Cody Denton and wife, Amanda, of Joshua, and Angie Marino and husband, Louis, of Burleson; seven great-grandchildren, Matt Farquhar, Monte Farquhar and wife, Brandy, Zach Farquhar and wife, Amy, Seth Farquhar, Trey Denton, Justin Denton, and Maddox Marino.
