Frances Holt

Frances Holt, 80, passed away on October 21, 2013, in Whitney. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Keene Cemetery in Keene with Rev. Fred Parker officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Frances was born on September 22, 1933, in Abbott, to Simmon William and Eddie Lou (Cannon) Taylor. On March 22, 1952, she married Junior, “J.R.”, Randolph Holt in Cleburne, and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2003. She worked at Montgomery Ward and Park Plaza several years before retiring. Working in her yard and enjoying the outdoors were favorite pastimes, but she was also an avid deer hunter. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.R., four brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by daughters, Pat McArthur and husband, Doug and Polly Medlin, all of Lake Worth; grandson Randle Holt and wife, Tiffany of Burleson; two great-granddaughters, Brittany Holt and Jessica Matteson of Burleson as well as numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
