Frances Whittington

Frances Whittington, 91, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Hill Regional. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Greg Johnson of First Church of The Nazarene in Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, prior to service time at the funeral home.

Born June 15, 1925 in Hill County, she was the daughter of William & Lora (Tanner) Earl. Frances lived all of her life in Hill County. On October 21, 1943, she married Oscar Whittington and he preceded her in death on September 25, 2008. She owned and operated The Country Market with her husband Oscar for over 25 years.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her son, Dennis Whittington of Hillsboro; brother, Bill Earl of Grand Prairie; granddaughter, Susan Dennison of Temple; great-granddaughter, Zoie Dennison of Temple; and several nieces and nephews.
