Frank Martindale

Frank Martindale, 88, of Whitney passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney. Memorial services with military honors will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.

Frank was born June 9, 1924 in Burlington, Iowa to John and Inez (Saliday) Martindale. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time boating and fishing at the Lake of The Ozarks with family and friends. Frank will be missed by many.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Wanda Martindale, on March 25, 2009; and daughter, Toni Sue Wilson on June 29, 2009.

Survivors include his daughter Kathryn Reading and husband, Shannon, of Trophy Club; three grandchildren, Ryan Brown and wife, Sandra, of Tampa, FL, Kyle Brown and wife, Sandy, of Rockwall, and Megan Reading of Dallas; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Christian Brown of Tampa, FL and Elizabeth and Austin Brown of Rockwall.
